Priority for Developing Districts and Blocks

The government will focus on providing staff in 14 backward districts such as Fatehpur, Chitrakoot, Siddharth Nagar, Bahraich, Balrampur, Shravasti, Chandauli, and Sonbhadra. Around 100 development blocks and all blocks in Bulandshahr district will have enough teaching staff. The government promises that no teaching post will remain vacant in these areas to improve education quality.

Home District Posting Benefit

Teachers in Group D (Group Gh) can get postings in their home district. Those with 2 years remaining until retirement are eligible for home district transfers. Group A and B teachers seeking transfer outside their home district may have their requests considered by the government.

Merit-Based Online Transfer System

Many teachers (around 5.2 lakh) have been waiting for transfer opportunities. The UP Transfer Policy 2024-25 introduces a merit-based online transfer system mainly for Group B and C staff.
