UP Free Smartphone Tablet Yojana is a scheme started by the Uttar Pradesh government to support students by giving them free tablets and smartphones. About UP Free Smartphone Tablet Yojana 2025
On 19 August 2024, UP Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath announced this Free Tablet and Smartphone Yojana in the assembly. Nearly 1 crore young people in the state will benefit from this scheme. The government has set aside a budget of ₹3000 crore for it. Students studying graduation, post graduation, technical courses, and diploma courses can apply for this scheme.
The government will also provide free digital access with these devices. Students can complete their studies more easily using tablets or smartphones, and it will also be easier for them to search for jobs later. The government has announced allowances for students appearing in competitive exams as well.
Latest Update: The Yogi government plans to distribute over 12 lakh smartphones to youth by March 2025 under the Swami Vivekananda Youth Empowerment Scheme. UPEDESCO has been made the main agency for purchase and distribution.

Eligibility Criteria for UP Free Smartphone Tablet Yojana 2025
