About Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojana 2025
This scheme was started to offer free pilgrimage trips to senior citizens of Delhi who can’t afford to travel due to money problems. Launched in January 2018 by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, the project aims to support elderly residents by covering all their travel expenses. You need to register online on the official Delhi e-District portal (edistrict.delhigovt.nic.in) since there is no offline process available.
The trips are arranged on air-conditioned trains and include food, accommodation, and boarding. Each senior citizen can bring one attendant above 18 years old, who will also get the free facilities.
