This programme for gig workers was launched by CM Reddy during their programme in Hyderabad. He assured the workers that the Rajasthan Workers Policy would be worked on by our government, and that new rules will be developed at the next Vidhansabha meeting. They stated that all gig workers, including those who own their own auto rickshaws, taxis, or are employed by online food delivery services like Swiggy and Zomato, will soon be protected by an accidental insurance policy worth Rs 5 lakh under the Telangana Gig Workers Insurance Scheme.
Furthermore, Aarogyasri Telangana would allow all policyholders of this accidental insurance policy to register in order to receive medical care up to Rs 10 Lakh annually. Additionally, they will create a smartphone application for the programme, which T-Hub is now developing.
