Types of Schemes under Shram Seva Portal
Maternity Assistance Scheme
Women construction workers get 45 days minimum wage during maternity. They also get nutrition allowance of ₹1400 in rural and ₹1000 in urban areas. Registered male workers receive 15 days minimum wage. This applies for up to 3 childbirths. The assistance amount is updated every year on 1st April. Application must be submitted within 60 days of childbirth to health authorities.
Medical Assistance Scheme
This scheme provides health coverage under Janani Suraksha Yojana, Deendayal Antyodaya Treatment Plan, and other state health funds for workers below poverty line. Registered unorganized construction workers receive health insurance and other medical aid benefits under appropriate government schemes.
Marriage Assistance Scheme
Construction workers’ daughters receive ₹25000 per marriage as assistance. In case of group marriages, ₹23000 per bride and ₹2000 to the organizer per marriage are provided. Application must be submitted one day before the marriage date, with necessary signatures, to concerned local authorities.
Education Incentive Scheme

Death Funeral Assistance Scheme
If a registered construction worker dies at or below age 45 due to natural causes, ₹75000 is given. If above 45, ₹25000 is provided. Accidental death leads to ₹100000 assistance. Death occurring at work grants ₹200000, and permanent disability due to work leads to ₹75000. Additionally, ₹5000 is granted immediately for funeral expenses. Applications should be given within 6 months of death.
