PM SHRI Yojana 2025 brings a fresh wave of smart education by upgrading 14,500 old schools across India. Announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Teachers Day, September 5, 2024, this scheme aims to give schools a modern look and connect students with the latest learning methods.

Under the Prime Minister School for Rising India (PM-SHRI) Yojana, these schools will become model institutions reflecting the full spirit of the National Education Policy (NEP). The plan focuses on improving infrastructure, adding smart classrooms, sports facilities, and technology to help students learn better.

Many schools from every district, including at least one in each block, will be upgraded. These improvements will help students enjoy better learning environments with modern facilities.

Funds will be given directly to schools, and principals along with school committees can decide how to use part of these funds effectively. Schools will also focus on eco-friendly practices to create green learning environments.
