Why MP Mukhyamantri Charan Paduka Yojana?
Tendu leaf collectors go deep into forests to collect leaves used for making beedis (traditional cigarettes). Many come from poor families. They often walk barefoot while collecting leaves, which leads to injuries and health risks. Some also get bitten by harmful insects, needing hospital treatment.
This scheme helps by giving proper shoes to collectors so they can work safely. Also, items like sarees and umbrellas will be given to the female collectors so they can stay protected from the sun and rain. This will make their work and daily life much easier.

The government supplies the following once a year to each collector family:
