On Monday morning, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the two-day PM Kisan Samman Sammelan 2025 at the Indian Agricultural Research Institute in New Delhi at around 11:30 AM. This initiative involves converting retail stores into Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samruddhi Kendras (PMKSK) to better serve farmers’ needs. - On October 17, the Prime Minister will formally inaugurate the PM Kisan Samman Sammelan 2025. The event will witness participation from over 13,500 farmers and more than 1,500 agricultural startups. An estimated one million farmers will join online.

- Over the coming years, India’s fertilizer retail outlets will gradually transition to PMKSK. The Prime Minister will also open 600 fertilizer retail stores as part of this strategy.
- PMKSK will address various farmer needs, offering soil testing, seed and fertilizer availability, information on government schemes, and capacity-building programs for local retailers.
- It is anticipated that more than 3,33,000 retail fertilizer stores will be converted to PMKSK in the near future.
- A digital publication named “Indian Edge” focusing on fertilizers will also be launched by the Prime Minister. This publication will cover local and global fertilizer markets, price trends, availability, usage statistics, and successful farming practices.

One Nation One Fertilizer Scheme
Agri Startup Conclave and Exhibition
During his address, the Prime Minister will also inaugurate the Agri Startup Conclave and Exhibition. Attendees will have the opportunity to view advancements in several areas such as Precision Farming, Post-Harvest & Value Add Solutions, Waste to Wealth, and Agri-Logistics, highlighting innovations from approximately 300 new enterprises. This platform will facilitate interactions for startups with farmers, NGOs, and agricultural experts. There will also be technical workshops allowing startups to share experiences with various stakeholders.
Release of PM Kisan Yojana 12th Installment
One of the most anticipated announcements is the PM Kisan Yojana 12th payment. The Prime Minister is dedicated to ensuring farmers’ rights, and on October 17, a total of Rs. 16,000 crores will be distributed through Direct Benefit Transfer under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. Eligible farmer families receive Rs. 6000 annually, disbursed in three installments of Rs. 2000 each. So far, qualifying families under the PM-KISAN scheme have received over 2 trillion rupees in payments.
