Subsidy on Organic and Chemical Pesticides
Farmers will get a 75% subsidy on biopesticides and bioagents like Trichoderma, Beauveria Bassiana, and N.P.V. These are environment friendly and help control pests and diseases naturally. The government supports Integrated Pest Management (IPM) systems and has set up nine IPM labs in the state to produce these products.
Additionally, chemical pesticides and spraying machines such as knapsack and power sprayers will be available at a 50% subsidy for small and marginal farmers. In 2024-25, this support will cover 1.95 lakh hectares of farmland with these chemicals and spraying tools. Up to 6,000 spraying machines will be distributed with subsidies during this period.
Farmers will also get 50% subsidy on storage containers of 2, 3, and 5 quintals to keep their grains safe.
