October 11 Update – Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik started giving funds directly to village councils (gram panchayats). In Keonjhar district, 297 gram panchayats received Rs. 148.50 crore. In Bhadrak district, 218 gram panchayats got Rs. 109 crore. Overall, 6,794 gram panchayats will get Rs. 3,397 crore to work on about 90,723 projects. Each village council has a budget of Rs. 50 lakh. Project costs can range from Rs. 2.5 lakh to Rs. 10 lakh.

Main Features of Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha Scheme

The scheme plans to build new facilities for Mission Shakti groups in villages, bring urban facilities to rural areas, create sports opportunities for youth, improve banking access, and boost digital connectivity through mobile and internet services.

Ideas and projects will come from locals, community groups, government officials, and other important people. The district collector and district zilla parishad president will approve all village project lists, which will then go to the Panchayati Raj & Drinking Water Department for final approval.

Budget Details

Rs. 4000 crore has been set aside for this project. Every village council in Odisha will get a budget of Rs. 50 lakh. Individual projects can cost between Rs. 2.5 lakh and Rs. 10 lakh.

The Panchayat Samiti will manage the work following rules, and the district collector can assign other agencies to help if needed.
