Latest Update (11th Oct 2024): CM Naveen Patnaik gave scooters to over 15,000 women members of SHGs under this scheme. The state government is spending Rs 528 crore on interest support to help 2 lakh women and community workers get scooters easily.
“Women empowered by Mission Shakti will move forward strongly,” said CM Naveen Patnaik during the cabinet meeting’s approval of the scheme. The government will cover all interest costs on loans up to Rs 1 lakh for buying scooters. Source
