Warehouse Subsidy Scheme helps farmers keep their crops safe by supporting the building of storage facilities. Many farmers in India can’t afford to make their own storage. That’s why the central government started the Warehouse Subsidy Scheme 2025. In this article, you’ll find an overview of the scheme, its goals, features, benefits, eligibility, and how you can apply.

Overview of Warehouse Subsidy Scheme 2025
Many farmers have to sell their crops quickly at low prices because they don’t have safe places to store their harvest. The Warehouse Subsidy Scheme 2025 was started to help farmers build secure storage for their crops. Both individual farmers and farmer groups or organizations can set up these storage units.
This scheme provides loans and subsidies to help farmers build warehouses. Its goal is to improve farmers’ income by letting them store crops safely and sell at better prices.
Storage Capacity Requirements
You can decide the size of the warehouse, but to get the subsidy, the storage capacity must be at least 100 tonnes and no more than 30,000 tonnes. If the warehouse is smaller than 100 tonnes or bigger than 30,000 tonnes, you won’t get the subsidy. However, in special cases, subsidies are given for storage as small as 50 tonnes. For hilly areas, warehouses with 25 tonnes capacity are also eligible. Loans can be paid back over 11 years.
