Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said the first payment of Rs 5,500 was given recently, and Rs 2,000 from PM Kisan will be credited soon.
The Chief Minister has transferred Rs 3,758 crore as the first payment for the fourth year in a row, helping 50.10 lakh farmers. So far, over Rs 23,875 crore has been directly sent to farmers’ bank accounts through the YSR Rythu Bharosa scheme. Various welfare programs have spent Rs 1,10,093 crore in total to support farmers.
Compared to the previous government, which spent Rs 782 crore on zero-interest agriculture loans, the current government has spent Rs 1,282 crore on similar projects.
