How Preliminary Screening Works
Over 62,459 schools with 7,041,988 children will be screened.
Screening is done at schools by teams of public health staff and ASHA workers.
Urban and rural areas have different team setups.
Teams screen between 200 to 250 students every day.
Teams get training and screening materials to get accurate results.
After screening, data is given to respective health workers (ANMs) for upload.
ANMs upload the screening data to Primary Health Centres (PHCs).
Micro Action Plan Preparation
PHC is the unit that prepares detailed plans to use resources well.
Screening teams are formed and schools assigned based on student numbers.
A medical officer monitors and makes sure screening quality is good.
Monitoring and Supervision
Deputy health officers and district officials supervise screening activities.
These officers can ask for re-screening if quality is poor.
Support such as transportation is provided for smooth monitoring.
Training and Data Handling
Special training sessions for health officials and screening staff are held.
A dedicated website helps upload screening data easily and safely.
Login credentials are given to health workers and medical staff for managing data.
