Benefits Of YSR Jala Kala Scheme

- Under the AP YSR Jala Kala scheme, Andhra Pradesh government will drill-free borewells for all the eligible farmers in the 13 districts of the state so that the problem of irrigation can be solved

Revised Eligibility Criteria YSR Jala Kala Scheme
The Government Of Andhra Pradesh has issued New guidelines regarding the eligibility of the AP YSR Jala Kala scheme. Under these new guidelines, only one farmer’s family can get benefits under the AP YSR Jala Kala scheme. In previous days some applications were received for three or four adjacent borewells in the same area. These applications were from different members of the same family. Under the AP YSR Jala Kala scheme, the distance between the two borewells must be at least 200. In order to solve this problem, the officials of the rural development department have sent a report to the government. In this report, the department has suggested the government amend the eligibility rules of this scheme.
The government has amended the eligibility criteria under the AP YSR Jala Kala scheme. Now if a member of the family has received the benefit under this scheme then other members of the family will be disqualified to apply for this scheme. The amended eligibility rules issued by the government are as follows:-
- All the Government employees, retired employees cannot apply for AP YSR Jala Kala scheme
- To get the benefit under APYSR Jala Kala scheme the farmers are required to have at least two and a half acres of land. If they do not have that much land then they can apply as a group with surrounding farmers
- If the farmer wants to drill another bore well then another hydrogeological survey will be done an
- Under the supervision of MPDO, DWAMA APD second bore well will excavate.
- The quality control department will inspect at least 10% of the free bore well
