Main Goal of the Journey
The main goal of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra is to reach every citizen with information about government welfare schemes. Visiting Panchayats and Urban Areas
The yatra plans to visit nearly 2.7 lakh village panchayats and about 15,000 urban centers. On the first day alone, over 1 lakh people in 259 villages were reached. The government wants to provide benefits like housing, cleanliness, financial services, electricity, food security, nutrition, healthcare, clean drinking water, and quality education to even the most remote communities.
Mobile Vans Travel Across the Nation
On November 15, around 118 vans started their journey, and a total of 2800 vans will travel across India during this campaign. These vans stay at each place for 2 to 3 hours so people have enough time to learn about schemes and sign up if eligible. This is a joint effort between the central and state governments. The vans also show regional language films to attract and engage local communities.
Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) Vans
Along with the yatra, IEC vans have also been launched by the Prime Minister. These vans will visit important locations to hold health camps, help with Aadhaar enrollment, and provide other essential services. Initially, the yatra focuses on tribal areas but will cover all districts by January 25, 2025.
