Uttarakhand Balika Shiksha Protsahan Yojana 2025: Free Cycles for Girls
The Uttarakhand government has started the Balika Shiksha Protsahan Yojana to support girl education in the state. This scheme gives free cycles to girls entering class 9, making it easier for them to travel between school and home on time without any trouble. Girls studying in government and private schools in Uttarakhand can take advantage of this free cycle scheme.
Under this plan, Rs. 2,850 is directly transferred to each eligible girl’s bank account through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer). This money helps them buy a cycle, making it easier to attend school regularly, especially for girls coming from distant villages.
