UP Family ID is a special identification number started by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to help every family in Uttar Pradesh easily get government schemes and affordable food supplies. Under the One Family One Identity scheme, each family receives a unique UP Family ID. This ID helps build a database of families to provide job opportunities and benefits from state and central government schemes.
Think of the UP Family ID as a new kind of ration card that brings all government support under one ID. If you don’t have a ration card, you can register for the UP Family ID online through the official portal. Those who already have a ration card will have it counted as their Family ID and can use it to get benefits.
UP Family ID Portal 2025
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched the online portal for the Family ID – One Family One Identity scheme to make it easier for everyone to access government benefits. Through this portal, families can get free or subsidized ration as well as other scheme benefits. Families without a ration card, who are not included under the National Food Security Act, can apply for the UP Family ID here.
To get benefits, applicants must register on the portal and will receive a 12-digit unique family ID. This ID is used to build a database to provide employment and social welfare benefits more effectively.

Guidelines to Apply for UP Family ID
- Any citizen of Uttar Pradesh can apply online through the Family ID portal.
- Applications can also be submitted at Jan Seva Kendras or Gram Secretariats.
- A fee of Rs. 30 is required if applying via Jan Seva Kendras.
- The verification process is similar to that on the e-District portal.
- Verification in urban areas is done by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate or Lekhpal.
- In rural areas, verification is carried out through Block Development Officers, Gram Panchayat Officers, or Gram Vikas Officers.

How to Register for UP Family ID 2025?
- Visit the official Family ID portal: https://familyid.up.gov.in/portal/index.html
- On the homepage, click on the Registration option.
- Fill in the registration form with your name and mobile number.
- Click on Send OTP and enter the received OTP in the box.
- Enter the captcha code and click Submit.
- Your registration will be successful and you will get your UP Family ID.
Check Status of UP Family ID Application
- Go to the official UP Family ID website.
- Scroll down to the Track Application Status option and click it.
- Enter your application number.
- Click on Show Status to see the current status of your application.

- Visit the official UP Family ID website.
- Click on Sign In on the homepage.
- Enter your registered mobile number.
- Click on Send OTP and enter the OTP received on your phone.
- After submitting the OTP, click Login to access your account.
