Overview of Sarvjan Pension Yojana 2025
The Jharkhand government started Sarvjan Pension Yojana to give financial help of Rs 1000 per month to poor senior citizens aged 60 and above. The pension amount is deposited into beneficiaries’ bank accounts on the 5th of every month. Chief Minister Hemant Soren held awareness events in Gumla district to spread information about this scheme. Earlier, having an APL or BPL ration card was required to apply, but this rule has now been removed.
The government will collect information by visiting the homes of all eligible individuals and prepare a list of beneficiaries. Apart from senior citizens, homeless persons above 18 years, widows, people disabled for more than 5 years, and HIV/AIDS patients will also get pension under this scheme.
