PMAY List plays a big role in giving affordable homes to many people across India in 2024-2025. The government, as announced by the Finance Minister, has set aside ₹2.2 Lakh crore for the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) as a new investment. This scheme focuses on helping families with low income and those who face economic difficulties by offering them affordable housing.
Up to now, more than 1.18 crore houses have been approved under this scheme, and 114.41 lakhs houses have been started. The government has already completed around 85.55 lakh houses, and many more approvals are expected soon.
PMAY List 2025
The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), launched in 2015, aims to provide affordable housing to underprivileged people in both cities and rural areas of India. The PMAY Gramin (PMAY-G) scheme has been running until 2024, with a goal to build 4 crore pucca houses. In the Union Budget for 2024–2025, the Finance Minister proposed making more than 1 crore affordable houses to help achieve the goal of “Housing for All.”

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced on July 23, 2024, a ₹10 lakh crore budget for PMAY, focusing on homes for urban poor and middle-class families.
The government also plans to add 3 crore more houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.

How to Check PMAY List 2025 (Urban List)?
To see if your name is in the final Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban beneficiary list, follow these steps:
- Visit the official PMAY(U) website at https://pmaymis.gov.in/.
- Under ‘Search Beneficiary’, choose ‘Beneficiary wise funds released’ from the drop-down menu.
- Enter your registered mobile number and click ‘Send OTP’.
- After verifying OTP, you will see beneficiary details and the funds released under PMAY.
State Wise Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban List 2025
As of August 2024, the PMAY Urban scheme has made big progress in many states. Andhra Pradesh has sanctioned the most houses at 21,37,028, with 9,79,699 houses completed.
Uttar Pradesh has also done well with 17,76,823 houses sanctioned and 15,72,144 completed. Smaller states and Union Territories like Goa, Sikkim, and Chandigarh have fewer numbers but have completed most houses sanctioned.
Across India, 1,18,64,000 houses have been sanctioned and 85,55,000 houses completed, showing strong efforts to give everyone a home.

To find out if your name is on the PMAY Gramin List for 2024-25, here is what you can do:
- Visit the official PMAY Gramin website at https://pmayg.nic.in/.
- Click on ‘Stakeholders’ from the menu.
- Choose ‘Indira Awas Yojana (IAY)/PMAYG Beneficiary’.
- You have two ways to check your name:
- With Registration Number: Enter your registration number and click ‘Submit’ to see your details if listed.
- Without Registration Number: Select ‘Advanced Search’. Fill in details like state, district, block, and panchayat. You will also provide your name, BPL number and account number, sanction order, and father/husband name. Then click ‘Search’ to find your name.
