Purpose of Karnataka Gruha Lakshmi Scheme
The main goal of this scheme is to give ₹2,000 every month to women who are heads of their families. About 1.28 crore women in Karnataka can benefit from this support. The scheme helps housewives, landless women, and agricultural labourers by transferring money directly to their bank accounts. Who Can Get Benefits? – Eligibility Criteria
- The woman must belong to BPL (Below Poverty Line), APL (Above Poverty Line), or Antyodaya households.
- Only women listed as the head on their family’s Antyodaya, BPL, or APL ration card can get benefits. Women can update their ration card to make themselves the head if needed.
- Only one woman per family can receive the benefit.
- If the woman’s husband pays income tax or files GST returns, she will not get the benefit.
