Update as of 18th Jan 2024:
The Karnataka Cabinet has made some changes. Instead of giving a 10% extra discount on your average monthly electricity, now you get an extra 10 free units up to 200 units. For example, if your average use is 80 units, you get 90 units free. If you use 165 units, you get 175 units free. This change might affect those who use more than 100 units in a different way but helps those with lower usage. This change will cost the government an extra ₹500–600 crore.
