About KALIA Yojana Odisha

The KALIA Scheme helps small farmers and landless agricultural labourers with financial support for their farming and related activities. Benefits under this scheme include:

  • Financial help of Rs. 25,000 per family over five crop seasons to buy seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and cover labour costs.
  • Rs. 12,500 for landless agricultural households for related activities like goat rearing, duck farming, fishery, mushroom farming, and bee-keeping.
  • Rs. 10,000 yearly for vulnerable cultivators and landless labourers to support their living expenses.
  • Life insurance cover of Rs. 2 lakh at a low rate, partly paid by Odisha government, for those aged between 18 and 50 having saving bank accounts.
  • Personal accident insurance of Rs. 2 lakh also at a small cost for eligible account holders aged 18 to 50.
  • Interest-free crop loans up to Rs. 50,000 for farmers.
