Jammu-Kashmir Digi-Pay Sakhi Yojana 2025 is a new scheme by the Jammu and Kashmir government to bring digital banking and financial services right to your doorstep, especially in remote areas. The main goal of this scheme is to make banking simple and available to everyone in the region, using trained women called Digi-Pay Sakhis who help deliver these services.
Overview of Jammu-Kashmir Digi-Pay Sakhi Yojana 2025
Launched by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on 15 September 2024 at the Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute, this scheme aims to provide doorstep digital banking services to remote villages in Jammu and Kashmir. Digi-Pay Sakhis will be paid to offer these services, making banking easier and more reachable for people living in 2000 remote villages during the first phase.
In the first phase, 80 women from self-help groups in the Jammu and Kashmir division have been selected to work as Digi-Pay Sakhis. They will help people with banking transactions and access financial services from their homes. The Lieutenant Governor also distributed 80 Aadhaar Enabled Payment Systems to these Sakhis to make digital payments smoother.

This scheme supports women’s economic and social growth by giving them jobs as Digi-Pay Sakhis. It also promotes financial inclusion for people in remote areas, improving clarity in money transactions. Also, a one-week training program on agriculture and livestock management was started for Krishi and Pashu Sakhis to help them serve you better. The government is running other programs too that strengthen women’s role in society and help them become independent.
