Dr. Arun Kumar Mehta introduced the e-service created by the National Informatics Centre, allowing applicants to apply online, track their application status, and get approvals digitally. Under this scheme, girls born on or after April 1, 2015, whose parents or guardians earn less than Rs 75,000 annually, can get financial support. Girls will receive about Rs 6.50 lakhs when they turn 21 years old. Meanwhile, until they reach 14, Rs 1000 per month is directly deposited into their bank accounts through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer).

- Beneficiaries must provide a life certificate every three years, signed by a gazetted officer or school principal.
- No Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) if Form 15G/15H and PAN are submitted annually.
