Indira Gandhi Urban Employment Guarantee Scheme Now Offers 125 Days of Work
Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has approved increasing the days of work under the Indira Gandhi Urban Employment Guarantee Scheme to 125. Before, the scheme offered 100 days of employment, but from 1 April 2024, it will increase to 125 days. The government will have to spend around 11,100 crore rupees to implement this. Previously, 100 days of employment cost the state about 800 crore rupees. For the extra 25 days, the state will spend around 1,100 crore rupees.
