If you own land in Bihar, you need to pay land tax (lagaan) every year. Earlier, people had to visit local Tehsil or Panchayat offices to pay this tax and get a receipt. Now, the Bihar government has made this process easier by launching an online service on the official Bhulagan Bihar website. Through biharbhumi.bihar.gov.in, landowners can easily pay their land tax and download their receipts from the comfort of their home.
Overview of Bhulagan Bihar Online for 2025
Bhulagan Bihar online is a service started by Bihar’s Revenue and Land Reforms Department from 1 April 2024. This service helps all landowners in Bihar pay land tax online and get their land tax receipt digitally. This saves time and travel costs since you no longer need to visit government offices multiple times. It also improves clarity and reduces corruption by allowing payments and receipt issuance through a secure internet portal.
