Assam’s Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma launched the Ayushman Asom Mukhya Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana as part of healthcare improvements on the state’s government anniversary. This scheme is similar to the Ayushman Bharat Yojana but goes further by covering all medical treatments needed for diseases. Every eligible family member can get cashless medical help up to Rs 5 lakh at hospitals linked with the scheme across India.
