Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Arundhati Swarna Yojana, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- A permanent and legal resident of Assam
- The applicant must be a newly married woman
- Funds will be directly transferred to the bride’s bank account
- Girl must be at least 18 years old; boy must be at least 21 years old
- The girl must have completed at least 10th standard education
- The marriage must be registered under the Special Marriage Act, 1954
- The family income of the bride should not exceed Rs 5 lakh per annum
- The scheme is applicable only to the bride’s first marriage
