Every year, many people from across India attend the Republic Day and Independence Day celebrations. To avoid long lines and troubles in getting tickets, the Defence Minister, Shri Ajay Bhatt, launched the Aamantran Portal on 6 January 2024. This portal offers an online ticket booking system for these national events, making it easier and safer for you to join the ceremonies.
With the Aamantran Portal, you can book your tickets from your mobile or computer, right from your home. There’s no need to visit ticket counters in person, which saves your time and effort.

Offline Ticket Purchase Locations and Time
On Republic Day (26 January) and Independence Day (15 August), you can buy offline tickets between 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM and 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM at these locations:

Step-by-Step Process to Book Tickets Online on Aamantran Portal
- First, go to the official Aamantran Portal website: https://www.aamantran.mod.gov.in/login.
- On the homepage, choose “Don’t have an Account? Sign Up for Buying Tickets” if you don’t have an account yet.
- Fill in the details asked on the registration page, such as your name, father’s/husband’s name, date of birth, mobile number, permanent address, and CAPTCHA code.
- Click the “Register” button after filling all details.
- You will get an OTP on your mobile phone to verify your account.
- Go back to the homepage, enter your mobile number and CAPTCHA code, then click on “Request OTP.”
- Enter the OTP to log in.
- After logging in, select the event (Republic Day or Independence Day), ticket type, date of birth, full name, mobile number, email ID, address, ID proof type, and upload a photo of your ID proof.
- If booking multiple tickets, click on the “+” icon to add more tickets.
- Finally, click “Process to Payment” to complete your booking.
- After payment, you will receive your tickets via email or SMS, which you must carry to the event.
