What is E-Sampada Portal

The Government of India launched the E-Sampada Portal and mobile application on 25th on the occasion of good governance day under the one nation one system initiative. The announcement to launch this portal was made by the minister of state for housing and urban affairs Shri Hardeep s Puri in a virtual meeting which was held in Delhi. This portal is a single online platform through which booking and allotment of government residential accommodation and estate services can be made for eligible officials. Previously four different portals and two apps were used to avail the above-mentioned services of booking or allotment of estate and residential accommodation because they were administered by different departments which were complicated and time-consuming. To make this allotment and booking process simple, transparent and uniform E-Sampada portal and mobile app are launched in place of those four different portals and two apps

Objective Of E-Sampada Portal

The main objective of the E-Sampada Portal is to provide a single online platform for bookings and allotment of government residential accommodation and estate services. Through this portal, citizens can do venue bookings, holiday homes and touring officers hostel bookings, office, and market accommodation, and government residential accommodation. Now the citizens are not required to go to different portals in order to get the above-mentioned services. They are just required to visit the E-Sampada portal and from here they can apply for all the above-mentioned services. This will save a lot of time and money and will also bring transparency to the system. The Implementation of this portal will reduce Administrative costs and paperwork.

The allotment of government residential accommodations is administered by the directorate of the estate. These accommodations are provided to the elected officials of the Government of India. The Allotment process takes place through online mode which is completely automatic. Various other services along with allotment are also provided by the directorate which is as follows:-

Booking Of Market At E-Sampada Portal

The allotment and ownership rights of the INA market are managed by the directorate of the estate. Other than that the allotment and ownership of the newly constructed market in new Moti Bagh and kidwai Nagar East is also managed by the directorate of the estate.

Office Accommodations

Based on the availability of space the office space is allotted to the eligible central government offices. Other than that various other parameters like employee strength etc are also considered while allocating the office space. Allotment of office space in Delhi and other locations is administered by the directorate of the estate. Eligibility and required documents to apply for office accommodations are as follows:-

  • Details of nodal officer
  • Details of officers and officials working in the office
  • Approval from the joint secretary of the ministry department
  • Location of office in Delhi approved by cabinet/CCA
  • The office should be a part of the Secretariat of ministry or an attached subordinate office

Venue Booking

  • 5 Ashoka Road- It is a type VIII Bungalow that is located in the heart of the city. This bungalow is allotted for social purposes and marriage on payment of licence fee. The maximum period of allotment is 5 days. There is a policy that is formulated and maintained by CPWD from time to time that is responsible for governing the allotment of the Bangalow
  • Vigyan Bhawan- Many types of international conferences and other meetings are held at Vigyan Bhawan. It was constructed in 1956. Various types of government and private organisations organise conferences at Vigyan Bhawan. Since 2nd December 1992, the custodian of Vigyan Bhawan has been the directorate of the estate. There are many halls that are present at Vigyan Bhawan which are used for conclaves and seminars. In order to book Vigyan Bhawan applicant is required to pay a licence fee
  • Other Locations- For booking venues at the other locations the applicant has to pay the licence fee. The custodian of most of the venues are directorates of state

Holiday Homes And Touring Officers Hostel

The bookings of holiday homes and touring officers’ hostels are also administered by the directorate of estate and maintained by the Central public works Department. There are various types of rooms that are available in holiday homes and touring officers’ hostels according to the requirement of guests. In order to book these homes and hostels applicants are required to pay fees through the E-Sampada portal or mobile app. Applicants will be provided bookings on a First come First serve basis which will be subject to certain conditions. The following types of applicants can avail of services offered in holiday homes and touring officers hostel:-

  • First Serving/retired employees of central government
