About Kalinga Sikhya Sathi Yojana 2025

Kalinga Sikhya Sathi Yojana was started by Odisha Chief Minister Mr. Naveen Patnaik on 27th June 2016 to help students from Odisha who want to pursue higher education but don’t have the money. With this scheme, students can get an educational loan up to Rs 10 lakh at just 1% interest. Odisha’s Higher Education Department covers the rest of the interest. This lowers the financial burden on families and helps students study courses like engineering, medicine, law, management, and more.

If your loan is up to Rs 7.5 lakh, you have 10 years to repay it. For loans up to Rs 10 lakh, the repayment period is 15 years. Educational loans are available from scheduled banks under this scheme.
