Update as of 15th September 2024: 70,000 poor villagers will soon get keys to their new homes under this scheme. Uttar Pradesh Deputy CM, Keshav Prasad Maurya, announced after a meeting with district officers that a special event will be held in Lucknow to hand over the houses. Each village will be developed following Gujarat’s model, focusing on sanitation and public services. Chief Development Officers will carry out weekly inspections to make sure everything is on track.
