Rythu Bandhu Payment Status 2025 – Rabi Season Amount Released

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy ordered officials to start transferring Rs 5,000 per acre for Rythu Bandhu support for the rabi season directly to Telangana farmers’ bank accounts. This important meeting took place at the Secretariat on Monday. Since immediate help is needed, the government is continuing the Rythu Bandhu scheme for the rabi season. This came before full approval of the wider Rythu Bharosa scheme, which promises Rs 7,500 per acre per season and helps more farmers including tenant farmers and agricultural labourers.

Over 70 lakh farmers in Telangana will get this Rs 7,500 crore payment in stages during 2025. The Election Commission delayed this payment after it was first announced in November. In addition to continuing Rythu Bandhu, the Chief Minister has also asked officials to prepare for the promised Rs 2 lakh crop loan waiver for farmers.

The Rythu Bharosa scheme focuses on providing Rs 15,000 per acre per year to farmers and tenant farmers and Rs 12,000 to agricultural labourers, split between rabi and kharif seasons. It plans to cover more tenants and labourers beyond the 70 lakh farmers registered on the Dharani portal under Rythu Bandhu.
