Online applications are also accepted through the official Ladli Lakshmi Yojana website. Only girls born after 1 April 2008 from poor families in Madhya Pradesh are eligible. The total assistance amount of Rs. 1,18,000 is paid in installments.
Update as of 4th May: After turning 16, the government will now cover expenses for higher education under the scheme.
The scheme has played an important role since it started in 2007. Over 44 lakh girls have benefited so far. On the scheme’s 16th anniversary, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan talked with beneficiaries and announced that financial support will now also include higher education fees for government medical and select engineering colleges. Purpose of Ladli Lakshmi Yojana

- Third Installment: Rs. 4,000 on admission to class 9.

- Fifth Installment: Rs. 6,000 on admission to class 12.

Reasons for Application Rejection
- Submitting false or wrong information leads to cancellation.
- Girls who were in child care institutions but later moved out of Madhya Pradesh will have their applications cancelled.
- Application gets rejected if the girl has passed away.
- If the girl undergoes child marriage, the application is cancelled.
