After the success of the Utsashree portal for school teachers, a similar website will be made soon for college teachers. This will make transfers easier and more clear for college staff, continuing the improvements in West Bengal’s education sector.
Also, the Swami Vivekananda Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship (SVMCMC) has been updated with features like a digi-locker for certificates and online issuance of No Objection Certificates for ICSE and CBSE schools. Who Can Apply? Eligibility Criteria
- You must be a permanent resident of West Bengal.
- You should be a confirmed teacher working at your current school and post for at least 5 years.
- You should be 59 years old or younger.
- For secondary teachers, the posting place must be over 25 km away.
- Primary teachers cannot apply within the same circle.
- No transfer allowed within 5 years of your last transfer.
- If you refuse a transfer order, you cannot apply again for 7 years.
