For example, the Babu Banarasi Das (BBD) University cricket ground will hold archery competitions. Judo and Mallakhamb events will happen on BBD University’s main field, while volleyball and fencing matches will be at the indoor arena in Ekana Sportz City.

Khelo India University Games is a national multi-sport event that brings together Indian university athletes. The games aim to find young talent aged 18 to 25 and get them ready for big international events like the Olympics and Asian Games. Odisha hosted the first edition in 2020, which ran from February 22 to March 1, and the second edition was held in 2024. The third edition, in 2025, is coming up soon.

The first Khelo India University Games, held in Odisha, included 211 events across 17 sports. Nearly 4,000 athletes from 176 institutions participated. Athletes competed for 206 gold, 206 silver, and 286 bronze medals.
