Types of Tamil Nadu Marriage Assistance Scheme
1. Moolvalur Ramamirtham Ammaiyar Ninavu Marriage Assistance Scheme
This helps brides based on their education and family income. Brides who completed 10th class get Rs 25,000, and those with a degree or diploma from recognized institutions get Rs 50,000. For Scheduled Tribe brides, the minimum education is class 5. Annual family income must be below Rs 72,000.
2. Dr Dharmambal Amaiyar Ninaivu Widow Remarriage Assistance Scheme
Widows who remarry can get Rs 25,000 including Rs 15,000 by direct transfer, Rs 10,000 as a savings certificate, and a 4 gram 22-carat gold coin for the marriage. Degree or diploma holders get Rs 50,000 total with Rs 30,000 direct transfer, Rs 20,000 savings certificate, and the gold coin. No income or education limits apply here.
3. E.V.R Maniammaiyar Ninaivu Marriage Assistance Scheme for Daughters of Poor Widows
Daughters of poor widows can get Rs 25,000 if they have passed high school and Rs 50,000 if they have a degree or diploma. Family income must be less than Rs 72,000.
4. Annai Therasa Ninaivu Marriage Assistance Scheme for Orphan Girls
Orphan girls get Rs 25,000 for high school qualification and Rs 50,000 for degree or diploma holders. There is no income limit for this scheme.
5. Dr Muthulakshmi Reddy Ninaivu Inter Caste Marriage Assistance Scheme
