About Prime Minister Vishwakarma Yojana
On 1 February 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the PM Vishwakarma Yojana. This scheme is meant to help people start their own businesses by giving training and financial support. Participants get a daily training allowance of Rs 500 during the training period. After training, Rs 15,000 is directly transferred to their bank account to buy a toolkit. The government also offers loans up to Rs 2 lakh at low interest rates between 5 to 8 percent in two stages to help start a business.
The government has set aside Rs 13,000 crore for this scheme from 2024 to 2028. It’s made for skilled artisans and craftsmen who work with their hands and tools. The scheme helps improve the quality of their products and helps them reach better markets.

Training Under PM Vishwakarma Yojana
After applying, your application will be approved online by the village head if you are from a rural area, or by the ward councilor in urban areas. Then you will go through a training period of around 15 days. During training, you will get ₹500 daily. After finishing the training, ₹15,000 will be credited to your bank account to buy tools, along with a training certificate.

PM Vishwakarma Yojana Payment Status?

Toolkit Incentive Payment ₹15000 Status
After completing the skill assessment at the training center, beneficiaries receive a toolkit incentive of ₹15,000. This amount is sent as an e-voucher via SMS or email. If not received, contact your training center or call 1800 267 7777 / 17923.
Training Stipend Payment (₹500) Status
After the basic training (5–7 days), a stipend of ₹500 per day is given. The amount is directly credited to the beneficiary’s Aadhaar-linked bank account via DBT.
Vishwakarma Loan Payment Status
Beneficiaries can get a loan in two parts – ₹1 Lakh first, then ₹2 Lakh. The loan is guarantee-free and sent directly to the bank account after approval on the Vishwakarma portal.
