- Increase fish production by an additional 70 lakh tonnes by 2024-25,
- Boost fisheries export earnings to Rs. 1,00,000 crores,

- Reduce post-harvest losses from 20-25% to about 10%,
- Create an additional 55 lakh direct and indirect employment opportunities in the fisheries and allied sectors.

Implementation of Matsya Sampada Yojana

Impact of the PMMSY
The PMMSY is projected to have a significant positive impact on the fisheries community in India, evidenced by the following outcomes:

Application Process for Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana
The PMMSY was launched to uplift the fisheries sector in India, offering around 29 benefits specifically for fishermen. Grants covering 60% of unit costs are accessible for SC, ST, and women, while 40% is designated for other categories.
