Distribution of Appointment Letters to 71,000 Candidates
On November 22, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually distribute approximately 71,000 appointment letters to new recruits as a part of the government’s “Rozgar Mela” (jobs fair). This initiative highlights the PM’s commitment to prioritizing job creation and is expected to foster more opportunities for the youth, empowering them and enabling their active participation in national development. Earlier in October, appointment letters were distributed to 75,000 individuals. However, in states like Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh, where the Model Code of Conduct is active, physical appointment letters will be delivered at 45 different locations nationwide. Current job openings include lecturers, nurses, doctors, radiographers, pharmacists, and various technical and paramedical roles.
For newly appointed employees across various government departments, an online orientation module will be available. This module is designed to teach workplace ethics, human resources policies, and the perks and benefits that will assist them in their new roles. They will also be encouraged to explore additional training opportunities on the igotkarmayogi.gov.in platform. In June 2024, Modi mandated that multiple government organizations hire 10 lakh new employees in a “mission mode” over the next 15 months.
