Purpose of Nanda Gaura Yojana
The main aim is to encourage families to celebrate the birth of daughters and to help girls continue their studies without financial stress. The scheme supports this by offering financial help at two stages. You apply first when your daughter is born and again after she passes class 12.
Who can apply for Nanda Gaura Yojana?
- You must be a permanent resident of Uttarakhand state.
- If your family has more than two living daughters, you cannot get this benefit.
- Apply within six months of your daughter’s birth to get the birth stage benefit.
- The baby girl should be born in a government or private hospital or ANM centre.
- Birth proof and institutional delivery certificate must be included.
- Annual family income should not be more than Rs. 72,000 (Rs. 6,000 monthly).
- Income certificate should come from the Tehsildar.
- The bank account linked with Aadhaar should be active. Jan Dhan accounts are not accepted.
- All document uploads must be clear and under 200 KB in size.

At The Time of Birth
- Recent passport-size photo of the baby girl.
- Signature of mother/father/guardian.
- Permanent residence certificate.
- Copy of family register or certificate from ward member/councillor.
- Copy of ration card.
- Institutional delivery certificate.
- Birth registration certificate.
- Income certificate.
- Aadhaar cards of mother and father/guardian.
- Proof of house tax or rent agreement from local body, or a certificate from village head if none available.
- PAN cards of parents or guardians.

- Immunization/MC P (vaccination) card.
- Copies of bank passbooks and last one year bank statements of all family members.
- Copy of socio-economic and caste census details if available.
- Affidavit confirming this is either the first or second daughter getting benefit, and all information given is true.
- Copies of last 3 electricity bills and one water bill, or affidavit if no connection.

After Passing 12th Class
- Recent passport-size photo of the student.
- Student’s signature.
- Signature of mother/father/guardian.
- High school certificate.
- Marksheet and certificate of 12th class passing.
- Aadhaar cards of student and parents/guardians.
- PAN cards of student and parents/guardians.
- Permanent residence certificate.
- Proof of house tax or rent agreement from local body, or certificate from village head if unavailable.
- Income certificate.
- Copy of family register or certificate from councillor and ration card with the name of the girl.
- Socio-economic and caste census documents if available.
- Copies of last 3 electricity bills and one water bill or affidavit if no connection.
- Affidavit stating this is first or second unmarried daughter for the benefit, and all information is true.
- Copy of the beneficiary girl’s bank passbook.
- Copies of bank passbooks and last one year bank statements of all family members.
- Copies of full admission documents for higher education.
