On August 27, 2024, he announced this while opening a food processing and packaging plant in Haridwar’s Buggawala area. Under the state’s one district one product policy, mushroom farming was chosen for Haridwar. This scheme is expected to benefit around 25,000 young people.

The agriculture department will train young people interested in mushroom farming. The government has also approved loans for 49 beneficiaries to set up food processing units, with 28 units already working in different districts. A mushroom processing unit will also be set up soon in Haridwar as part of this scheme.
