Madhya Pradesh’s Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan started this scheme for unemployed youth on 17 May 2024. It aims to help educated youth in the state by providing skill training and financial support. Both boys and girls can join the scheme.
The scheme is for youth who have passed 12th class, ITI, or higher education. Training is offered in over 700 different job roles to prepare participants for work.

Update as of 5th July 2024: CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan officially launched the Mukhyamantri Sikho Kamao Yojana at Ravindra Bhawan, Bhopal. To register for this scheme, you need to complete e-KYC on the portal. The CM pointed out that after studies, finding a job is the biggest concern, and this scheme aims to address that.
The government will also set up Global Skill Centres with Singapore’s help in Bhopal to train 6,000 to 10,000 students in various skills.

Purpose of Mukhyamantri Sikho Kamao Yojana
The main goal of this scheme is to train both employed and unemployed educated youth of Madhya Pradesh with useful skills so they can find good jobs or start their own businesses. Youth will get ₹8,000 to ₹10,000 monthly during training to encourage participation.

Stipend Details

- Graduates and above: ₹10,000/month
This financial help is given during the training period to let youth focus on learning skills.
Funding Ratio
The state government has approved ₹1000 crore for this scheme. 75% of the stipend will be paid through direct benefit transfer (DBT) by the government, and the remaining 25% will come from the training institutions.
Institutions can also provide more than 25% if they want. After training, the MP Skill Development and Employment Board will help participants get placement certificates.
