The Mathruyanam Scheme 2025 gives free transportation for mothers and newborn babies from government hospitals to their homes right after delivery. This helpful scheme is now active in all government hospitals where births take place in Kerala. Health Minister Veena George announced this to improve care and safety for mothers and babies in the state.

Mathruyanam Scheme Kerala 2025
The Kerala government started the Mathruyanam Scheme to make sure all mothers and newborns get free transport from hospital to home after delivery at any government hospital. Right now, 101 government hospitals follow this plan, including 50 taluk hospitals, 41 district, general, women’s and children’s hospitals, nine medical colleges, and one social health centre where births happen.
