About Madad Portal

The Madad Portal i.emadad.gov.in is the Consular Services Management System. Online registration is available for both grievant registration and registration of Indian students studying abroad. These steps can be used by students studying abroad. Users can submit online complaints about the consular services provided by Indian Missions/Posts overseas through the MADAD portal.

Objectives of Madad Portal

In order to simplify communication with the closest Indian Missions or Posts in the event of a need, Indian students who are now studying or planning to study abroad may also register themselves on the portal. MADAD allows for the online logging and tracking of complaints as well as the entry of course and contact information for students. Additionally, through the portal itself, feedback can be given in the form of compliments and suggestions.

The Overseas Indian Affairs-II Division of the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Akbar Bhawan, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi (email: diroia2@mea.gov.in), handles issues relating to students’ educational pursuits and marital conflicts.

Protector General of Emigrants (PGE) Division, MEA, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi handles disputes involving contracts and recruiting agents. You can make complaints at https://emigrate.gov.in/.

The Department of Commerce at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Udyog Bhawan, New Delhi, is responsible for handling complaints pertaining to commercial issues (https://commerce.gov.in/InnerContent.aspx?Id=14).

The purview of this portal does not include complaints or inquiries about passports and visas, emergency travel documents, or attestation of documents.

How can you keep track of your complaint’s progress?

You can check the status of your complaint using the MADAD mobile app or the Madad Portal at www.madad.gov.in.

  • Register yourself under “Grievant Registration (For Grievance)” and “New Student Registration (For Student)” to obtain your login ID if you are not an existing user:
  • Both “New Student Registration (For Student)” and “Grievant Registration (For Grievance)” should be clicked.Enter your information to obtain a login ID.
  • Monitoring the status of complaints with the MADAD mobile app:
  • Navigate to the Track Grievances screen by going to the Home page of the MADAD mobile application.
  • Click Submit after entering your Grievance ID and Captcha (Security Code).

What is the mandatory information for registering grievances?

Information with regard to fields marked in red are mandatory, these include

  • First Name,
  • Passport Number,
  • Date of Birth,
  • E-Mail,
  • Mobile Number,
  • Current Address of the person about whom the grievance filed, and so on.

  • Visit madad.gov.in, the official website.
  • The homepage will appear.

  • Select the option for “registration of Indian students abroad’.
  • Add your name, birthdate, email address, and more.
  • After signing up, log in with your id and password.
  • Select manage profile to add more information.
  • To enter course and institute information, select Manage Course Details.
  • Students or other complainants can report their complaints after completing the registration process, and the authorities will, according to the website, attempt to fix them. MEA has urged all Indian citizens currently living in Canada and those who are considering travelling to use extreme caution.
