Kisan Rail Yojana 2025

Kisan Rail started its first train on 7 August 2024. The train runs between Deolali in Maharashtra and Danapur in Bihar. It covers around 1519 km in about 32 hours. This train is part of a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) and has cold storage to keep fruits and vegetables fresh during transport. Kisan Rail Train Route

The train starts from Deolali and stops at Nashik Road, Manmad, Jalgaon, Bhusawal, Burhanpur, Khandwa, Itarsi, Jabalpur, Satna, Katni, Manikpur, Prayagraj, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Nagar, and Buxar before reaching Danapur. It carries fresh vegetables, fruits, flowers, onions, and other crops. From 7 August 2024, this special train runs every Friday from Deolali to Danapur and every Sunday for the return journey. This helps farmers in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar.

Farmers pay freight charges per ton to transport their produce through Kisan Rail. The rates are:

  • Khandwa to Danapur – Rs 3148 per ton
  • Burhanpur to Danapur – Rs 3323 per ton
  • Bhusawal to Danapur – Rs 3459 per ton
  • Jalgaon to Danapur – Rs 3513 per ton
  • Manmad to Danapur – Rs 3849 per ton
  • Nashik Road to Danapur – Rs 4001 per ton
  • Deolali to Danapur – Rs 4001 per ton
