Assam Amrit Brikshya Andolan – On June 8, 2023, Assam’s Chief Minister Shri Himanta Biswa Sharma declared that on September 17, 2023, from 8 AM to 11 AM, 1 Crore Seedlings would be planted throughout the State. Self-Help Groups, ASHA, Educational Institutions, Village Defence Party, Anganwadi Workers, Tea Garden Workers, and Individuals will plant these seedlings, which will be referred to as Commercial Trees. Assam Amrit Brikshya Andolan 2024

Himanta Biswa Sarma, the chief minister of Assam, has launched the Amrit Brikshya Andolan Yojana in an effort to make the state greener and give its residents financial aid. The state’s residents will be encouraged to grow trees through this program. The entire state will participate in this initiative. In accordance with this program, the state’s residents will receive Rs 100 for each plant at the time of planting, and if the plants survive for three years, the state government would also pay the beneficiaries Rs 200 per plant.

On September 17, in only two hours, 1 crore saplings will be planted throughout the state as part of the অমৃত বৃক্ষ্য আন্দোলন Yojana. Assam will achieve this goal and become the nation’s first state. The Wave Portal will provide an online registration form for state residents to use this program.
