Purpose of Swachh Survekshan 2025
Many towns and cities still don’t have proper cleanliness, which causes more health problems across the country. To tackle this, the government started Swachh Survekshan under the Swachh Bharat Mission. This survey looks at how waste is separated (wet, dry, hazardous), how waste is disposed of, recycling, disposal of construction waste, the amount of waste dumped in landfills, and the overall cleanliness of cities. In 2020, 18.7 million citizens took part in the survey. This year, you can also help by supporting your city’s efforts to stay clean.
