About PM Daksh Yojana 2025
On 5 August 2024, the Central Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment, Virendra Kumar, launched the PM Daksh Yojana portal and mobile app. Also known as the Prime Minister Skillful Beneficiary Scheme, it offers free training to targeted groups including Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward Classes, and sanitation workers. The training includes upskilling and reskilling programs, short-term and long-term courses, and entrepreneurship development programs. In 2024-25, the scheme aims to support 50,000 youth.
Students who attend 80% or more of the training will receive a stipend between ₹1,000 to ₹3,000 as compensation for lost wages. After successfully completing the training, beneficiaries will get certificates and will also get help with job placements following assessment and certification.

Training Programs Under PM Daksh Yojana
Upskilling and Reskilling Program
- Focuses on rural artisans and sanitation workers with financial and digital literacy training.

Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a permanent resident of India.
- Age between 18 and 45 years.
- Belong to Scheduled Tribe, Scheduled Caste, Backward Class, Economically Backward Class, sanitation workers, or Denotified, Nomadic, Semi-nomadic tribes.
- For Backward Classes, annual family income should not exceed ₹3,00,000.
- For Economically Backward Classes, annual family income should not exceed ₹1,00,000.
